Why does my tablet display mobile versions of websites?

If you're a tablet users, you may have run into this issue on sites that have either been programed responsive, or have a custom mobile interface.

But never fear, there is a solution.

Each tablet is a bit different, but there is a setting available on the tablet that controls whether or not it requests the mobile or full website view. Just locate the "settings" section on your tablet and select your browser - Explorer, Firefox or Safari - from the list.

It may take a bit of digging as each brand of tablet has it's own setting name and none of them are consistent; but once you find it you'll be viewing the full version of all websites without issue.

If you are having trouble locating this option, do a quick web search for your tablets brand name and "view full website". Google should be able to help you find the right link in no time.
